KidSuper is a Brooklyn-based fashion brand founded by Colm Dillane, a multidisciplinary creative known for blending art, humor, and storytelling into his collections. The brand is celebrated for its vibrant hand-drawn graphics, playful designs, and collaborative spirit that bridges fashion, art, and community. Drawing inspiration from Dillane’s passion for creativity and DIY culture, KidSuper consistently challenges traditional fashion norms while delivering an artistic narrative that resonates with dreamers and innovators alike.

We use these theater showings to supply opportunities for striving fashion journalists to write about some of the most legendary and exciting shows. In their theater there will be a reserved section of seating for journalism students, providing a fantastic chance for their work to be featured on our website and media platforms. It’s an incredible way to showcase talent and creativity within our community.

This semester, The Dress Code Club is making history!

We've been exclusively invited by the executive office manager of SAKS to attend a guest speaking panel at their stunning in-store art gallery. This is a first for the University of Houston — a professional connection forged entirely by The Dress Code Club. Attendees will hear from top industry professionals who will share invaluable insights on navigating diverse career paths in fashion and business. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this groundbreaking event!

The Dress Code is… Business Professional, Boss, and Diva.

Willy Chavarria is a New York-based fashion brand founded by Willy Chavarria, a Mexican-American designer known for blending Chicano culture, political statements, and luxury streetwear into his collections. His work often carries a sense of bold masculinity, oversized silhouettes, and emotional storytelling, drawing inspiration from his upbringing in California’s Central Valley and the Latino working-class experience.

Guest Speaking & Internship Opportunity

She will talk about her career journey specifically with Glass House Cypress. A new luxury brand that is currently in the windows of New York City’s 5th Avenue SAKS store. They also recently opened a store in Tokyo, Japan, and are recent participants in Paris Fashion Week. Zoi, is a Retail coordinator, design, and social media marketing strategist for the brand. She will be highlighting how to become an asset to a fast-growing luxury company, so you can achieve the job, position, and pay. The establishment in Houston also houses a Michelin star omakase which Zoi also photographs to assist in campaigning.

Zoi also reached out looking for an intern to work with her on my day-to-day and wants to use this event to find that intern. The intern would work alongside her gaining experience within fashion and hospitality, but of course, fashion is the main.

First Theater Showing | Guest Speaker Panel

Luis Ruz is a phenomenal designer, and his brand, Petra Stellam, is rapidly growing and gaining wide recognition. He recently did a runway show in Houston. This will be an opportunity for us to bring the runway show to UH. Highlight that these events and opportunities are growing in Houston. Additionally, once the show is over we will turn on the lights and have seats on stage for Lu and his team to come up and talk about the behind-the-scenes of the show. He will not only talk about his brand but also share insights into the process of organizing a runway show, his design inspirations, and the challenges and triumphs he has experienced in the fashion industry.
